Adverse Credit Mortgages

Think your credit history might stop you getting a mortgage? You’re not alone — and more importantly, you’re not out of options. At Mortgageforce, we help people secure adverse credit mortgages every day. Whether your score has taken a hit, or you’ve had more serious financial difficulties, there’s still a way forward.

However, you don’t have to face it alone. We work with both high street lenders and specialist mortgage providers who understand that life happens. For example, some lenders will consider missed payments, defaults, or even active debt management plans. In fact, there are adverse credit mortgages available that don’t require every CCJ to be settled first.

We Understand Your Situation

Life throws curveballs. A job loss, illness, or unexpected expenses can all leave a mark on your credit file. Although that history matters, it doesn’t define your future. At Mortgageforce, we’re not here to judge. We’re here to help.

Because of this, we take a different approach. We don’t just fill in forms and cross our fingers. Instead, we speak directly with underwriters, explain your story, and present your application in the best possible light. That’s one reason we have strong relationships with lenders — and it’s why those lenders trust us. As a result, we’re often able to secure adverse credit mortgages when others can’t.

Why It’s Worth Talking to Us About Adverse Credit Mortgages

You might assume no one will accept your application. However, until we take a look, you won’t know for sure. We understand lender criteria and how they assess risk. That means we can match you with a realistic option and avoid dead ends.

In addition, we can offer practical advice. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of tweaking your credit profile or fixing an error. Other times, we can suggest steps to boost your score and increase your chances of approval.

Check Your Credit File First

Not checked your credit file recently? Then now is a great time. Sites like checkmyfile.com show your reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion all in one place. It’s quick and easy. If you’re unsure, give us a call and we’ll talk you through it step by step.

In conclusion

So, if you’re worried your credit history is holding you back, let’s talk. With access to a wide range of adverse credit mortgages, Mortgageforce is here to help you move forward with confidence.

Excellent 5 star service 06 December 2023

Rachel has been incredible in securing us a mortgage and I cannot recommend her highly enough. The whole process was clear from beginning to end and Rachel kept us up to date every step of the way. We had a tricky property to mortgage and Rachel was able to secure us a good product from a high street lender. I have recommended her to friends and family and would use her again for any future mortgages. Thanks Rachel!

Recent Adverse Credit on Credit Report

The Client needed to move home and due to recent adverse activity on his credit score, the existing lender would not agree a porting application so thought there was no option but to stay in the same unsuitable property.

Thankfully, as we have a huge number of lenders offering a vast array of types of mortgages, we were able to find a suitable lender that would allow the mortgage amount needed to move home and accepted the recent credit history and the client was able to move

Consolidate Debts with Poor Credit History

Client had no current mortgage but wanted to consolidate some outstanding debts to make monthly expenditure more managaebale but has recent adverse credit showing on their credit report so most mainstream lenders would not agree a loan.

We managed to speak with a few specialist lenders that would accept the current credit history, as well as agree to the loan amount and the use of the funds being raised by the mortgage.

Heavy adverse poor credit for a first time buyer

Client has various adverse defaults on their credit report on a number of credit cards and loans, explainable from a recent lif event which has made it difficlut to get back on track while renting, and they wanted to buy their first home.

Talking through the case in details with one of our specialist lenders meant they were able to underwrite and approve this first time buyer mortgage manually rather than let the computer make the decisions. Our knowledge and experience meant we knew what information the underwritier would want to know and see, so we gathered all this information and documentation proof, and talked throuhg the details showing the information to back it up. The clients were able to buy their first home and are happily settled in.
